Ahoj Praha: Vapiano Opening in Prague
This month we’re celebrating the second Vapiano Opening in the Czech capital of Prague. We guarantee that a trip to this city is 100% worth it, and not just for our pizza and pasta, here we give you our highlights.
It was only July when we opened our first restaurant in the lively center of Prague, and just three months on, we’re already celebrating our second big Vapiano opening here! The second restaurant is in the "Centrum Chodov" shopping center, which means locals and tourists can now sample our pasta, pizza and insalata here too.
The new restaurant has two large floors and 208 seats – 20 of which are special lounge seats. Our chefs are located on the first floor – here our guests can order and watch the Vapianisti prepare their food with our freshest ingredients. Both floors are also equipped with a bar that were inaugurated during the Vapiano Opening party and make the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine on a relaxing evening. And the best thing is, if you want to go shopping, the new and modern shopping center is right next door, and the city center is a mere 20 minutes metro ride away. And, if that wasn’t enough, in Spring next year, we’ll be adding a terrace, so we can look forward to lots of gorgeous summer evenings here at Vapiano in Prague. Maybe you'll even come by when we celebrate the opening of the new outdoor seating area?
Get to know Prague
If you would like to visit our two new restaurants in Prague, let's just say that a trip to this wonderful city is worth it for a number of reasons! The historic city’s center is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The city’s location on the Vltava River, has attracted emperors and kings throughout its turbulent history. This means you can visit buildings which date back to the 9th century, like the castle, for example. The ‘golden city’ is perfect for both summer and winter with its many relaxed shopping locations and cozy cafés. For those planning a short trip, we have put together three tips to ensure that you have a great time here in Prague:
Three of the best locations for sightseeing in Prague
1. Karlsbrücke: This bridge is one of the most popular sights in the capital and it is often packed full of tourists, but for good reason! The Karlsbrücke is a definite must-see with its spectacular view of the Vltava and Prague Castle. Many artists also offer their artworks for sale, this is often great fun to look at!
2. Nikolaus Church: The Nikolaus Church is one of the most beautiful baroque churches in Europe. It’s definitely worth a visit due to its impressive ceiling frescoes. We recommend climbing up the bell tower of the church because once you’re at the top you’ll be rewarded with a stunning view over the entire city.
3. Tramline 22: Anyone who knows Prague knows that Tramline 22 is always particularly full with members of the public and tourists alike. This is because it’s an inexpensive alternative to a traditional city tour. It takes you directly through historical Prague and offers great views of some of the most beautiful sights. But beware, this tram line is also very popular with pick-pockets, so keep your things close to you at all times!
